Join us on our journey through 21217 as we highlight green spaces across Bolton Hill, Upton, Sandtown, Penn-North, Reservoir Hill, Madison Park, and Druid Heights!
You will always receive a reminder text the day before each session. In the event of inclement weather, we will send out a text the morning of with an alternative in-door space or change of date. Yoga mats and refreshments from Fresh at the Avenue will be provided during each session. New locations will be announced a month in advance.
Our amazing yogi instructor, Michele Blu is trained in Kemetic Yoga and will guide us through movements, mindfulness, and sound healing.

Workforce Development Internship Program

No Boundaries Coalition has relaunched our Fresh! Workforce DevelopmentProgram and we are actively recruiting. If you know a youth age 18-24 please encourage them to apply for this “earn while you learn” 12-week CulinaryWorkforce Development Program. Preparation classes will be hosted on site atSwill by Blacksmiths (906 Washington Blvd.). The work training site is no other than Fresh at the Avenue located within the Historic Pennsylvania Avenue Market (1700Pennsylvania Ave). Graduates will gain 12-weeks of instruction from a Chef and restaurant owner with over a decade of culinary experience, gain on the job training, and sit for the ServSafe Manager Certification Exam.

 

Our goal is to help graduates find at least part-time employment at the conclusion of the program. Fresh at the Avenue, No Boundaries’ Fresh Produce Market and the adjacent “Test & Prep Kitchen” serves as the backdrop for this exciting program. There students can apply what they learn while interacting with the amazing residents of Central West Baltimore.

 

Additionally, if you are a business owner in the food service or food retail industry and you would like to join our network of employers or be one of our site visits please let us know! We would love to partner with you.

Membership Meetings

Unity Hall (1505 Eutaw Place), every second Tuesday @ 6:00PM

Our monthly membership meetings are a time for fellowship, engagement, decision-making, and action. Our meetings take place in the basement of St. Peter Claver Church, where No Boundaries Coalition has been holding meetings for nearly 10 years. Membership meetings are open to anyone who lives, works or worships in Central West Baltimore (the 21217 zip code).

Fresh at the Avenue

Avenue Market (1700 Pennsylvania Ave), every Saturday from 9:30am to 4:00pm and every Wednesday from 11:00am to 4:00pm

Fresh at the Avenue is a signature project of No Boundaries Coalition’s health and food justice work. Purchase fresh fruits & vegetables, get new recipes and partake in cooking demonstrations.

No Boundaries Yoga in the Park

Saturdays from 11:00AM-12:30PM at Baltimore Unity Hall

Civic Saturday Sessions

Virtual or in-person the third Saturday of each month from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm. Stay tuned for details.

Civic Saturdays are designed as an opportunity for the 21217 community to get more engaged with each other and become more informed, enabled and empowered! We meet either virtually or in-person the third Saturday of each month unless otherwise noted. Civic Saturday Sessions  usually include an expert guest who guides us through a topic, engagement effort or neighborhood involvement, support or appreciation event.

Committee work is done at our monthly membership meetings, and also at separately scheduled committee meetings. Our current standing committees are:

Get out the Vote (GOTV) Committee — The second Tuesday of every month (No Boundaries Membership meeting) 6:00 pm–8:00 pm

No Boundaries Youth Organization (NbYO) & Leadership Committee — Each Wednesday from 4:00 pm–6:30 pm. Programming with impact that matters to our youth in West Baltimore is happening every year at No Boundaries Coalition. Full youth membership meets on the1st and 3rd Saturdays from 2:00pm–5:00pm.

On Saturday, February 25th, 12pm – 4pm. join us for our 7th Anniversary Party, featuring an afternoon of family fun and free cupcakes while they last. A Kale Cook-Off will also be taking place, starting at 3:15pm. Community chefs will compete to make the best kale dish. Ingredients will come from Fresh at the Avenue inventory.

NbYo Professional Photoshoot

As a part of our Professional Development programming NbYo will be hosting Professional Photoshoot Day for youth ages 13-20. Youth are encouraged to wear a semi-professional outfit.

5th Annual Youth Issues Assembly

At the Youth Issues Assembly we will come together to create a game plan to fight some of the issues that us as youth face in Baltimore City. We will be holding a huge house meeting where everyone’s voice will be heard because each voice is valued. We are coming together in hopes to make the city a brighter place that provides the basic needs of each young person in Baltimore, Maryland. When the House Meeting starts we will follow a detailed agenda to get the most out of our time. Information gathered from youth will be used to hold ourselves and our elected officials accountable. We hope that all young leaders will join us in making a change.

The event was moderated by the distinguished Rev. Dr. Al C. Hathaway, Sr. Candidates were questioned directly by 21217 residents and members of the No Boundaries Coalition.

Fresh at the Avenue 4th Anniversary & Live Cooking Competition

Saturday, February 29, 2020 — Fresh at the Avenue, a social enterprise of No Boundaries Coalition, hosted a live cooking competition and tasting in celebration of its 4th Anniversary at the Avenue Market. The competition tested each contestant’s ability to prepare a raw and cooked kale dish using ingredients available from Fresh, augmented where necessary. Each participant was allowed one secret ingredient and an optional sous chef to win the competition.

2019 Annual Gala: A Royal Unmasking

On November 9, 2019, No Boundaries Coalition hosted its annual fundraiser. “A Royal Unmasking: No Boundaries Coalition 2020 and Beyond” took place at the Historic Westminster Hall in Baltimore, MD. The fundraiser is held annually to continue support for the advocacy work of the No Boundaries Coalition of Central West Baltimore.

2018 Annual Gala

On November 3, 2018, the No Boundaries Coalition hosted its annual fundraiser at the Historic Westminster Hall, in Baltimore, MD. Last year’s theme was “Our History, Our Hope.” The fundraiser is held annually to continue support for the advocacy work of the No Boundaries Coalition of Central West Baltimore. 

12th Annual Boundary Block Party

On June 1, 2019, No Boundaries Coalition and Jubilee Arts Baltimore hosted the 12th Annual Boundary Block Party, which brought residents together in central west Baltimore across boundaries of race and class and neighborhoods to celebrate the strengths of the community.

 

The next block party will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2020.
