MLK Jr. Day of Service

MLK Jr. Day of Service

It is our responsibility to improve our community!
On Jan 18th take a day ON, not a day off.

No Boundaries Coalition is calling on you to commit to service in 2021 starting on MLK Day! You can start by sending out an engagement email to your elected officials.

The Martin Luther King Jr. holiday on Jan 18, 2021, is the 26th anniversary of the day of service that celebrates the Civil Rights leader’s life and legacy. Observed each year on the third Monday in January as “a day on, not a day off,” MLK Jr. Day is the only official federal holiday designated as a national day of service to encourage all Americans to volunteer to improve their communities.

  1. Introduce yourself by sharing your address and district.
  2. Tell your legislator your vision for 2021 and ask them to respond by sharing one thing they plan to do legislatively to support your vision during the 2021 legislative session.
  3. Follow up!
